A dedicated website for Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) launched

6.47 Crore Accounts with a Deposit of Rs. 4813.59 Crore Opened till 22nd October, 2014
Shri G.S. Sandhu, Secretary, Department of Financial Services (DFS), Ministry of Finance launched here today (27.10.2014) a dedicated website (www.pmjdy.gov.in) for Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojna (PMJDY) which is available both in English and Hindi versions. The website consists of Information on administrative structure with contact details of Central/State/District level mission directors/nodal officers monitoring implementation of PMJDY, information of latest events, latest circulars issued under the scheme, link with social networking sites like face book and twitter. Till now, the details and other related information regarding PMJDY was being disseminated through a link provided on the website of Department of Financial Services(DFS), Ministry of Finance.

Mission document, Account Opening forms in Hindi & English, Financial Literacy Material to be used in Camps/ Mega camps in English, Hindi & regional languages aimed at rural population, Progress reports on account opening / RuPay cards issued etc. Bank wise/ state wise, National and State-wise toll free numbers are all available on this site.

Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojna (PMJDY), an ambitious programme on Financial Inclusion to cover all unbanked households in the country by 26th January, 2015 was announced by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 15th August, 2014 and launched by him on 28th August,.2014 from Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. On an average 1,15,000 bank accounts are being opened every day. As on 22.10.2014, a total number of 6.47 crore accounts have been opened with a deposit of Rs. 4813.59 crore.

there are many branches of maximum banks which deny to open a account for JAN DHAN YOJNA. Please make a proper feed back system so that this type of inconvenience not occur.

i have open my account in SBI branch after launching of JAN DHAN YOJNA,but i didn't got this facility.
